THE HIERARCHY OF WAR: RANKINGS Explained

In Fantasty, glory is not only won; it is recorded.

The Thundercock Rankings track performance across eligible Fantasy 8th Edition events using a shared scoring system designed to compare results fairly across the tournament scene.

Each qualifying event is converted onto a standard scale. Your position is then determined by your strongest results across a rolling two-year period, creating a live picture of current form, consistency, and achievement on the tabletop.

THE TITHE OF GLORY:
HOW THE RANKINGS WORK

Each eligible event awards every player a score on a standardised scale from 10 to 100 points.

Simply attending an event earns 10 points, while a perfect result earns 100.

Your overall ranking is based on your best three scores within a rolling two year period. These three results are added together to create your total ranking score, meaning the maximum possible total is 300 points.

As new events are played, the system continues to update automatically. Once a result becomes older than two years, it drops away, and your best remaining three scores are used instead.

THE WEIGHT OF EMPIRES

Not every event carries the same weight. The rankings use adaptive scaling so that larger events are worth more than smaller ones.

In simple terms, it is easier to win a small event than a large one, so stronger finishes at larger tournaments award more points. This helps ensure that the rankings reward not just victory, but the scale of the achievement.

The Best In Race

The rankings also track the race or army played at each event.

For each race, the system looks at a player’s best three scores with that army across the same rolling two-year period. These scores determine the Best in Race standings.

Each race can have only one top ranked general at a time.
However, a single player may hold multiple Best in Race titles if they have the strongest qualifying results in more than one army.
